Job evaluation is a process through which an organization decides to pay its employees compensation and benefits (Society for Human Resource Management, n.d.). It is the method used by an organization to compare one job to another within the organization. Job evaluation is to have an insight into the competition in the labor market. There are different methods through which job evaluation can be done. The plans include external, internal, auditing, and customized job evaluations. The United States of America law can also penalize organizations that do not have a justified job evaluation process (Society for Human Resource Management, n.d.). If an organization pays differently to its employees on the same job, it can be held accountable.
